Studying With Teacher1

Some people think that they can learn better by themselves than with a teacher; others, however, think it is always better to have a teacher.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

It's true to say that teaching is a profession from time immemorial. Studying a subject with a teacher brings many advantages for every student. But in recent times the popularity of self-education has been increasing. These changes occur due to the increasing possibilities of information systems, replacing in many ways the necessity for a teacher.

A professional teacher can significantly speed up and improve the quality of the educational process. Through the use of experience, the teacher can develop the most effective learning plan that will go from simple to complex. Besides, the opportunity to discuss your mistakes with another person is one more advantage of such a process. In conversation with a more experienced person, you can be creating shortcuts in your learning process. Without doubts, homework is being checked by a teacher can show you the weakest points that need more attention.

On the contrary, it cannot be ignored that, self-studying brings an entirely new set of advantages for students too. We should not forget that training with a teacher is quite expensive. So the transition to self-education allows you to either save money or spend it on the purchase of additional training materials. Sometimes we need more time to think about a new question from our studying. Under the pressure of time, we usually can't think straight. The fact that self-learning is more flexible means you can afford to devote more time to difficult questions. In today's world, people are very busy; therefore, bound by the classroom teacher, suggesting a tight schedule is inappropriate. It is much easier to study on the phone or the computer in any spare minute.

In conclusion, although there are some benefits to studying with a teacher, I tend to think that studying independently brings a lot more advantages for the students. Therefore, I personally prefer to save my time, money and study at my own pace.
